The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking an Experienced or SeniorManufacturing Engineer located in Hazelwood, MO or Mesa, AZ. Position Responsibilities Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options

Nice To Haves

  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Experience with AS6500 methods and procedures
  • Experience conducting internal and external (supplier) audits
  • Experience with First Part Qualifications (FPQ), First Article Inspections (FAI) and/or Supplier or Processor Qualifications
  • Experience with Manufacturing Maturation Plans (MMP)
  • Experience performing Manufacturing Readiness Level Assessments (MRA)
  • Working knowledge of composite and/or metallic aircraft structure fabrication and assembly techniques
  • Experience conducting PFMEA and APQP analysis
  • Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) best practices
