About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer located in Hazelwood, MO. Position Responsibilities Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies. Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions. Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build. Assists in implementing manufacturing plans. Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies. Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only .

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
  • “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Experience with AS6500 methods and procedures
  • Experience conducting internal and external (supplier) audits
  • Experience with First Part Qualifications (FPQ), First Article Inspections (FAI) and/or Supplier or Processor Qualifications
  • Experience with Manufacturing Maturation Plans (MMP)
  • Experience performing Manufacturing Readiness Level Assessments (MRA)
  • Working knowledge of composite and/or metallic aircraft structure fabrication and assembly techniques
  • Experience conducting PFMEA and APQP analysis
  • Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) best practices
