About The Position

The Resident PGY3 participates, at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, in structured programs to develop skills in all six of the general competencies, as outlined by the ACGME. The incumbent demonstrates basic competency by rendering patient services in an accurate and effective manner. This position is part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Internal Medicine Residency program located at Holy Cross Hospital in Broward County.

Requirements

Doctorate degree Medicine (MD) required
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required

All PGY3 Categorical Internal Medicine Residents must have a M.D. or D.O degree.
ECFMG certification is required for medical degrees obtained outside the United States.
PGY3 Categorical Internal Medicine Residents must maintain a valid training license in the State of Florida throughout the duration of the training program.
PGY3 Categorical Internal Medicine Residents must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) throughout the duration of the training program.
All PGY3 Categorical Internal Medicine Residents must have successfully completed two years of training in an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency program.
