About The Position

This is a seasonal internship with the Golf Operations team where interns will be exposed to all areas of a private golf club operation. Interns are expected to act/behave in a professional manner and make positive contributions to the operation. Member service is always the priority, and you'll have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with our members as well as your fellow staff members. Work will include all areas of the golf operation including: carts, bag room, practice facilities, golf shop, retail, tournaments, junior instruction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrolled in an accredited PGA/PGM University.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and to work independently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audience.
  • Ability to work with a team and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Stock Farm Club and member and guest information.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and image of the Stock Farm Club.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.
  • Physical activity is demanding and will require bending, kneeling and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate golf cart in safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing golf shop duties.
  • Daily host shift which includes starting and marshalling.
  • Assist with junior golf lessons and clinics.
  • Assist with tournament setup and member weekly golf games.
  • Meet and greet members and guests.
  • Clean and stage golf carts.
  • Clean golf clubs.
  • Stock water, ice, and apples through the golf course.
  • Pick, stock, clean practice facilities.
  • Assist with activities associated with tournaments, retail operations, and point-of-sale systems
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
