The PGA HOPE Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with the PGA HOPE Program Lead in delivering consistent and quality PGA HOPE programming across the United States. The PGA HOPE Program Coordinator will provide daily support to PGA Sections as they execute the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the 501 (c)(3) non-profit of the PGA of America.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years related experience in the military, business environment, not-for-profit, or sports industry.
  • Knowledge of the PGA of America and PGA Section structure or golf industry.
  • Knowledge of the Veteran community and military community.
  • Knowledge of community organizations, grant administration and program management.
  • Knowledge of how to cultivate and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to develop effective marketing and communications plans.
  • Knowledge of Social Media.
  • Knowledge of creating and understanding basic P & L statements.
  • Working knowledge of disability inclusion is required.
  • Knowledge of GSuite (or other technology).
  • Meets the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Gets first hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) in Business Administration, Sports Management, Nonprofit Management or related field preferred.
  • Golf industry background and experience in the military and/or Veteran space is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage and maintain all PGA HOPE communication tools such as program information pieces, website, press releases, program participant brochures, and overall program calendar.
  • Track data in order to create reports and other documentation necessary to successfully maintain all stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage PGA HOPE program digital photos, testimonials, program success stories for storytelling and program recognition efforts.
  • Responsible for coordination and distribution of monthly PGA HOPE newsletter to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Provide support for timely financial reimbursement processes related to PGA HOPE expenses.
  • Assist in communicating opportunities and encouraging participation from all PGA Sections and PGA Members in order to grow the PGA HOPE program and support the overall mission of PGA HOPE.
  • Serve as a supporting liaison with all PGA of America employees related to the successful development, implementation, and ongoing operations of the PGA HOPE program.
  • Assist in managing all PGA HOPE external stakeholder relationships including the Department of Veterans Affairs, corporate and individual donors, PGA HOPE Committee, and PGA REACH Trustees.
  • Assist in managing the business relationship with military non-profit partners, with an emphasis on assisting with the successful planning and execution of Patriot Golf Days.
  • Responsible for printing and shipping all PGA HOPE graduation cards and Veteran gifts.
  • Execute post-program and training reimbursements for PGA Section HOPE programs.
  • Provide support for the overall PGA REACH department including but not limited to assistance with fundraising events, donor recruitment, grant writing, trustee meeting attendance and participation, etc.
  • Research potential new military initiatives to add to PGA REACH programming.
  • Provide support for all future program expansion of PGA HOPE.
  • Assist with PGA HOPE program budget management including budget creation, tracking, and input into the budget system.
