About The Position

A PET/CT Technologist at Overlake Medical Center works with the Medical Imaging leadership and medical director to develop operating policies and procedures. This role involves performing diagnostic PET/CT exams within established guidelines and covering other modalities within molecular imaging as needed, including General & Cardiac Nuclear Medicine. The technologist serves as a role model and resource within the department. Overlake Medical Center is a 349-bed, nonprofit regional medical center offering a full range of advanced medical services to the Puget Sound region. It is led by a volunteer board of trustees, employs nearly 3,000 people, and has approximately 1,000 active and courtesy providers on its medical staff, with over 200 employed by the organization. Overlake was the first Level III Trauma Center on the Eastside and is recognized for providing award-winning, compassionate, and patient-centered care. The center's commitment to high standards in medical care has earned it numerous regional and national awards and recognitions. Overlake was founded by community volunteers and continues to rely on volunteers to support hospital operations. The organization also produces a community health needs assessment (CHNA) and Implementation Strategy to outline its contributions to community health services and address unmet community needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree through an accredited Nuclear Medicine program or completion of formal military or hospital-based Nuclear Medicine program
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registration
  • Annual renewal of ARRT or NMTCB required by Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification
  • ARRT(CT) or NMTCB (CT) registration
  • State Certification as Radiologic Technologist
  • Biannual renewal of RT state license required by DOH and Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification
  • Healthcare Level CPR required upon hire
  • Two years nuclear medicine experience
  • Proof of full COVID-19 immunization as a condition of employment, to be provided before the first day of employment
