About The Position

The PET Quality Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned Quality tasks. This includes driving continuous improvement, GMP conformance, and regulatory compliance at the site level while managing complex projects and supporting Operations and R&D.

Requirements

  • BS degree in science related discipline (biology, food processing, chemistry, dairy management, etc.) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of aseptic beverage experience required.
  • Completion of Better Process School preferred (required completion upon accepting this role)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports planning and maintaining of lab schedule to provide uninterrupted support to normal Quality operations; support other activities as needed.  Support continuous improvement activities.
  • Support Operations and Manufacturing Services in assuring company quality standards are met.
  • Perform analytical testing and determine product conformance to specifications. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct equipment calibrations and troubleshooting as needed.                   
  • Perform finished product weight verifications and checks.  Including ability to perform volumetric checks.
  • High level of proficiency at running sterility testing equipment, and other lab equipment, as well as being the primary trainer for new hires on the lab equipment.
  • Capable of performing preventive maintenance and validation testing on all lab equipment.        
  • Review products and assess eligibility for product release in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete sensory analysis of finished products as required.
  • Proficient at completing gram stains, direct microbial counts and has an in-depth understanding of Dairy microbiology.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and partake in assigned cleaning duties as scheduled.         
  • Conduct investigative research on products or materials as assigned.         
  • Conduct Environmental Swabbing, sample testing and result reporting.
  • Perform pH Testing.
  • Always maintain and demonstrate a high level of professional attitude and appearance.  Be able to work closely with others without disputes.
  • Set up documentation and sterile sampling for sample shipments.  Utilize proper shipping methods.
  • Maintains compliance with FDA, NYS, and S.Q.F. Certification including drafting procedure and policy.
  • Applies and maintains 5s methodology (housekeeping) in work area.         
  • Troubleshooting, isolating problems, and repairing of lab equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
