About The Position

ARE YOU READY TO SHARE YOUR LOVE FOR PETS? Working at PetsWay, dba Pet Supplies Plus is serious fun! You get to work with animals, pet products, and fellow animal lovers every day. You will receive Pet Services Safety Training and be able to interact with our client's and their pets. As a Groomer, you will be able to use your expert knowledge and skills to ensure our pet parents receive the perfect grooming experience for their pet. You will oversee improving pets' hygiene and enhancing their physical appearance while creating sincere connections with our pets and pet parents. You will also be responsible for bathing, brushing, and drying pets, as well as performing ear cleaning and nail trimming services. We are seeking an individual who works well with others and can effectively assess the behavior and condition of each pet. The ideal candidate will have multiple years experience grooming and possess good time management, customer service, organization, and communication skills. Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience of professional grooming required.
• Prior animal care in a professional environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer questions regarding grooming via telephone.
• Cut and shave animals' hair or fur.
• Shampoo and wash animals' hair or fur.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs.
• Communicate opportunities for improving pet wellness with empathy.
• Create an overall welcoming environment for animals and their owners.
• Book appointments for grooming customers.
• Provide store Team Members with direction regarding appointments and available scheduling times.
• Maintain proper stock of grooming supplies.
• Ensure grooming supplies are being used in accordance with Pet Supplies Plus policies and procedures.
• Record customer and pet information.
• Ensure exceptional cleanliness of the grooming room.
• Prioritize and provide safety and care for the animals that are in the grooming room.
• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor for grooming customers.
