Part-Time Pet Care Day Camp Attendant
About The Position
Kennelwood Pet Resorts is seeking a Dog Day Camp Counselor to join their team. This role is for an individual who can confidently manage canine energy, ensuring pets engage in breed-appropriate and size-specific activities while maintaining order in playgroups. The counselor's organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring all animal guests receive their scheduled Day Camp activities. Kennelwood Pet Resorts, established in 1974, is a leader in the pet care industry, offering services such as training, grooming, dog day camp, and boarding across eight locations, as well as a Kennelwood Academy. The company's philosophy centers on creating experiences that build trust and confidence.
Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on occasion
- Ability to walk dogs of all sizes on leashes
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes
- Comfortable working around pet hair and dander
- A passion for animals
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- No experience necessary!
Responsibilities
- Provide dogs in camp with exercise and enrichment
- Supervise group play sessions
- Maintain a clean camp yard and clean up after dogs
- Greet pet parents upon drop off and pick up
- Walk dogs for placement in correct activity
- May be cross-trained in other departments
