About The Position

As a Pest Technician, you will operate independently and be mobile, providing routine pest control services to residential and commercial customers on route-based assignments. This role requires timely and safe arrival at each location and expertise in applying company products to safely eliminate pests. Technicians act as problem solvers, using in-depth training to determine the best solutions for customer needs. You will also be trained to identify and inform customers about additional service offerings, assist with sales to current customers, and help expand services to new customers, requiring strong communication skills. The work environment involves being both inside and outside in various climates, often in places where pests reside, with company-provided weather gear and safety equipment. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with Barnes Quality Pest Control in Bend, OR, a company recently acquired by Senske Services.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license and have a history of safe driving
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test (THC excluded)
  • At least 21 years old or older (requirement to drive a company vehicle)
  • Committed to safety and use of all the proper PPE the job requires
  • Friendly and dedicated to great customer service
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently and as part of a crew

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine service to residential and commercial customers on route-based assignments
  • Ensure timely and safe arrival at each customer location
  • Apply company products to eliminate pests safely
  • Serve as problem solvers for customers by utilizing training to decide on the best solution for unique needs
  • Identify and alert customers of additional service offerings that provide value
  • Help with sales to current customers and expand services to new customers
  • Display strong communication skills when providing product / service information when working with customers onsite
