About The Position

Protect National Security at the Heart of the Pacific Leidos is seeking a mission‑driven Physical Security Specialist to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii , supporting the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Special Security Office at Headquarters, JBPHH. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding some of the nation’s most sensitive information and facilities—while working in one of the most dynamic regions in the world. In this role, you’ll be a trusted expert helping PACAF defend against criminal, terrorist, and hostile intelligence threats. Your work will directly strengthen the security posture of PACAF’s Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) enterprise across the Pacific theater. You’ll shape policy, evaluate and enhance physical security systems, and ensure that critical facilities—new and existing—meet the highest standards. From conducting SCIF site surveys to reviewing Construction Security Plans and Fixed Facility Checklists, your expertise will help protect the people, missions, and assets that keep our nation secure. Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance on day one.
  • 8+ years of DoD security experience with strong familiarity with military environments.
  • Bachelors degree (additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree)
  • Proven experience executing physical security responsibilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong customer‑service mindset.
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and management abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of ICD 705 and DoDM 5105.21 Vol. 2 .
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience coordinating with DIA for SCIF authorization.

  • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) .

Responsibilities

  • Lead access integration efforts with USINDOPACOM to support badge reciprocity across the region.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support for the PACAF SCI Physical Security Program .
  • Support the PACAF SSO team by managing SCI access control for all PACAF SCIFs.
  • Enforce SCIF access control requirements and ensure compliance with DoD and AF security standards.
  • Conduct recurring security audits, inspections, and escort coordination.
  • Perform SCIF site surveys and recommend enhancements to reduce threats to SCI.
  • Develop and review Construction Security Plans (CSPs) and Modification Security Plans (MSPs) for new builds and renovations.
  • Review Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and TEMPEST forms prior to DIA submission.
  • Provide physical security training and updates to PACAF subordinate units.
  • Participate in annual Program Compliance Reviews (PCRs) with a focus on physical security readiness.
