About The Position

We are a veteran owned contractor, providing project, maintenance, and outage support throughout the United States. Over the past 15 years we have proven to be a trusted partner for our clients while providing services that help power the world. We are seeking an experienced Security Personnel professional with a strong background in Department of Defense (DoD) and Nuclear background investigations and clearance processing. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing security clearance processes, working within government systems, and ensuring compliance with federal security regulations. This role requires a high level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Previous experience processing DoD and/or Nuclear (DOE/NNSA) background investigations
  • Current or previously held U.S. Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, or Q Clearance preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience working within government security systems (e.g., DISS, NBIS, e-QIP, JPAS, DOE systems)
  • Strong understanding of federal security policies and clearance adjudication processes
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to work onsite in a secure environment as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience serving as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Assistant FSO
  • Familiarity with NISPOM, DoD 5200 series, and DOE security directives
  • Experience supporting classified contracts or working within defense or nuclear environments
  • Security-related certifications (e.g., Industrial Security Professional (ISP), SFPC, CPP)

Responsibilities

  • Process, manage, and track DoD and Nuclear background investigations and security clearances
  • Coordinate and submit clearance packages through appropriate government systems (e.g., DISS, NBIS, e-QIP, JPAS or successor systems)
  • Review investigative documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Serve as liaison between employees, leadership, and government security offices
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, DOE/NNSA (if applicable), and federal security regulations and policies
  • Maintain accurate records of clearance statuses and reinvestigation timelines
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to classified access
  • Provide guidance to employees on security clearance procedures and requirements
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and security program reviews
  • Safeguard classified and sensitive information in accordance with applicable regulations
