About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in Canton, MI. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance with daily living activities and personal care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Support Worker or in a similar care-giving role is a plus but not needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Must be able to pass background checks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts based on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Help with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
