Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People. Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a lawyer to serve as a Pre-Suit Attorney in our Providence, RI office. The ideal candidate will possess both NH and MA bar license. This is an opportunity to get involved in critical decisions for the firm as you learn Personal Injury from the ground up. You will gain significant experience in both motor vehicle accidents and premises liability cases at the pre-litigation stage. There is a clear path to learning litigation and eventually trial experience.
Requirements
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school
- An active member in good standing with the RI State Bar Association, MA bar also preferred
- Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day handling of all pre-litigation work
- Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval
- Guide clients through the case process
- Drafting and filing of pre-litigation documents
- Complete TD approval for liability issues
- Oversee settlement negotiations and the formation of demand packages
- Manage the release approval process
- Manage a team of 6-10 Case Managers
- Focus on Personal injury cases, both auto and premises liability
- Drive compliance and KPIs amongst team
- EUOs, PIP Statements, recorded statements
