Job Description: Job Duck is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Practice Assistant to support a busy and client-focused personal injury team. In this role, you will help ensure cases progress smoothly by managing medical records, coordinating with insurance providers, and supporting attorneys with essential administrative tasks. Your work will directly contribute to helping injured clients navigate complex legal and medical processes with care and efficiency. This position is well suited for someone with hands-on personal injury experience who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while staying connected to a collaborative legal team.   • Clear and professional written and verbal communication
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new processes and workflows
  • Attention to detail when reviewing medical and insurance documentation
  • Professional phone presence and client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Requires 1–2 years of experience supporting personal injury cases or working in a personal injury law environment
  • Ability to work during Eastern Time business hours to support phone calls and time-sensitive tasks
  • Primary support for the personal injury practice, with possible future involvement in employment law intakes
  • Comfortable handling confidential client and medical information with professionalism and discretion
  • Able to manage tasks independently while communicating proactively when guidance is needed
  • Clio for case management and document tracking
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and email management
  • Dropbox for secure file storage and file sharing
  • Adobe or PDF tools for document handling and e-signatures, including DocuSign through Clio

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks, including managing client files and scanned mail
  • Monitor and resolve outstanding medical bills and ensure providers bill insurers correctly
  • Maintain accurate and organized case documentation within the case management system
  • Handle non-legal communications such as website coordination and outbound calls on behalf of attorneys
  • Assist with overflow client intakes and conduct follow-up calls as needed
  • Manage insurance subrogation and lien information, coordinating with lien holders
  • Request and review medical records and medical bills while tracking outstanding requests
