About The Position

A well respected and coveted plaintiff's personal injury law firm seeks a qualified paralegal to join their growing office located in New Hyde Park, NY!

Requirements

• 4+ years experience as a legal assistant or case manager
• Able to step into an active caseload
• Personal Injury case management experience is a MUST
• Workers' Compensation case management experience is a plus
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
• Experience using a case management system
• Strong Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills
• Strong client/colleague communication skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Workers' Compensation case management experience is a plus
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Intakes and organizes case files for new and existing clients
• Maintains case management system by uploading all client documents
• Keeps clients informed on a regular basis by maintaining contact with client; communicating case progress
• Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences, preparing pleadings, etc.
• Monitor and obtain discovery responses
• Request medical records from providers
• Other duties as assigned
