At NFI North, we strive to create a world where mental and behavioral health services are readily accessible for everyone creating A Place to Belong. NFI North provides mental health and behavioral support services to people facing life challenges. We design diverse and innovative programs that provide a high level of structure within communities of care when a person or family is in need. Our goal is for people to grow, have hope, thrive in their community and feel like they belong. NFI North’s Newport Certified Residential Program (CRP) is seeking compassionate, highly skilled, and reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to serve as part of our (CRP) teams. The PCA provides an integrated medically oriented service model through the oversight and support of the Program Registered Nurse while offering the non-medical services of Personal Care through a participant directed model. In this demanding but highly rewarding role, you will work with our participants to support their physical and mental health needs in their everyday lives so they can remain in the CRP setting. As a PCA you will focus on helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide compassionate care and assistance and document participants’ progress, either written, electronically or verbally, to help ensure their overall wellbeing. The CRP sites are (2) five bed Residential Treatment Programs that specialize in providing the supported housing services to individuals transitioning from and/or awaiting admission to a higher level of care. These treatment sites are known to have a progressive reputation of providing comprehensive clinical, nursing, medical, case management services and life skills to adults living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) or complex medical needs. The participants residing in these treatment facilities are seeking independent home-like living.
