We are seeking a PRN(as needed) Personal Care Assistant to join our Adult Behavioral Health program in Harrisburg, PA. Schedule: PRN, per program needs; availability required for one winter holiday, one summer holiday, and one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday, or two Saturdays, or two Sundays). Paid Training: Required training will take place during daytime hours (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) within the first 1–2 weeks. Earn $19.33/hour Position Details Our personal care assistants provide for the safety and welfare of all residents in the Personal Care Home (PCH) setting, supporting their mental health and physical well-being. They carry out direct care responsibilities while participating in and following the treatment planning process.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- Active and valid driver's license required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement activities and other special projects designed to strengthen independent and community living skills and socialization/leisure time.
- Build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
- Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.
- Accompany consumers on trips outside the facilities for treatment, medical appointments, or any other appropriate activities.
