About The Position

Gail’s Homecare is a non-medical, in-home care provider that maintains high quality standards. Their goal is to add value to the lives of clients and their loved ones by providing personal care in the client's residence. Based in Lithonia, Georgia, services are available in Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Jackson, and Rockdale County. Gail's Homecare is seeking a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to join their growing home health care team. In this role, the PCA will work with clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. The PCA will provide compassionate care and assistance and document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing.

Requirements

• CPR/ BLS First Aid (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least one year of full time professional experience in a healthcare setting is required
• Mastery of the English language, written & verbal
• Good communication skills, excellent conversational skills
• Attendance of eight (8) hours of personal care-oriented services per year
• Participation in professional meetings when directed
• Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
• Able to lift heavy objects, help move clients, and perform physical tasks
• Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Willingness to conduct domestic and personal tasks requested by the client
• Prompt and reliable
• Warm and caring personality
• Commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect
• Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines
• Driver's License/State-issued ID
• PCA Certification
• Current CPR Card
• TB Results
• Social Security Card
• Vaccination Card
• Must have existing fingerprinting background check

Nice To Haves

• Three to five years of full time professional experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred
• Significant experience working in a home health care environment is strongly preferred
• Experience in domestic work or housekeeping is a plus
