About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide hands-on support to children in a school-based setting . The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensure student safety and comfort, and support overall well-being in accordance with established care plans and school policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Prior experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, or similar role preferred
• Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs required
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work effectively with children and diverse populations
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Dependable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including ambulation, transfers, and repositioning
• Support mobility, safety, and physical comfort throughout the school day
• Monitor and report changes in condition to supervisory staff
• Assist with basic observations, including vital signs and intake/output as assigned
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment
• Provide emotional support and positive encouragement
• Follow all infection control, safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA guidelines
• Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform additional duties as assigned
