About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide support to students in an elementary school setting. This role involves assisting with daily care needs, encouraging independence, and helping maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or in a caregiving role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively in a structured school environment
Responsibilities
- Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, feeding, and personal hygiene
- Provide classroom support during instructional activities and transitions
- Assist with behavior support and supervision as needed
- Monitor student safety and overall well-being throughout the school day
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
- Follow individualized education and care plans to ensure appropriate support
