About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support students with physical and emotional needs in a school setting. This role involves assisting students with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. The PCA will work closely with teachers and special education staff to provide individualized support throughout the school day.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities of daily living, including mobility, personal hygiene, and feeding
• Support students during transitions between classrooms and school activities
• Encourage and assist student participation in academic and extracurricular activities
• Monitor student behavior and report progress to appropriate staff
• Ensure student safety at all times, especially during movement and transitions
• Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to implement individualized care plans
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and physical support as needed
