About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support students in a school-based setting. This role focuses on assisting students with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a structured and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Personal Care Assistant, CNA, or similar caregiving role preferred
- Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive approach
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
- Reliable and punctual
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with personal care needs
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Support students with feeding, toileting, and hygiene tasks
- Monitor student behavior and report concerns to staff
- Help maintain a safe and structured classroom environment
- Accompany students throughout the school day, including transitions between activities
- Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations
- Adhere to safety protocols and school policies
