About The Position
Concordia Private Care has offered private duty services to our clients in the comfort of their own home since 1997. We can help our clients in a variety of ways including assistance with ADLs (such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transferring), companionship, medication reminders, and much more. Concordia Private Care also utilizes technologies (such as the TabSafe Medication Dispensing Unit and the Medical Alert System) to ensure the highest quality of care and services are provided to all of those in need. We strive to hire excellent people at Concordia - and keep them as well! Concordia Private Care is seeking Full-time Personal Care Aides to care for our patients at our Cabot Campus. Flexible schedules available Monday- Friday and/or weekends. Make your own steady schedule! Daylight hours! New Higher Weekend Wages up to $18.00 an hour The Personal Caregiver is a paraprofessional staff member trained to provide personal care, activities of daily living, exercise programs, and related services in the home for the sick and disabled, when no family member can assume this responsibility. This employee functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Requirements
- Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions and keep appropriate records
- Reliable, independent means of transportation to make home visits
- Car must be covered by established amount of insurance as described in personnel policies
- Driver must have valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Hair Care
- Nail Care
- Assistance with ambulation
- Changing position in bed
- Assistance with transfers
- Oral hygiene
- Changing bed linens of an incontinent beneficiary
- Shaving
- Deodorant application
- Skin care with lotions and/or powder
- Foot care
- Ear care
- Feeding
- Housekeeping including but not limited to:
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Light meal preparation
- Taking out the trash
- Laundry
- Assistance with medications that are ordinarily self-administered and do not require the skills of a licensed nurse to be provided safely and effectively
