About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates who speak Persian Farsi. This is a prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence in Fairfax, VA, and the ability to deploy up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen
Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
Ability to pass an advanced English test
Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
Ability to deploy - active passport
Minimum five (5) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
Master use of MS Office and internet research

Previous military experience
Has good understanding of one or more regional dialects
Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities

Responsibilities

Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
Interpretation - able to interpret accurately. The ability of consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required. Needs to have a good understanding of one of more regional dialects.
Transcription - Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression.
Must posses excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.
Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.
Must possess computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research the Web.
Excellent English language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings
