Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or Associate degree with a minimum of two years of professional interpreting experience
• Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in both Spanish and English
• Experience: Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in interpreting and translating in a professional setting
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally
• Strong active listening abilities to ensure accurate understanding and effective response in both client and team interactions
• Thrives under pressure, maintaining focus, accuracy, and professionalism in fast-paced or high-stakes environments

Nice To Haves

• Translator/Interpreter certification preferred
• A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with clients and the legal team
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments, demonstrating resilience and adaptability

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality interpretation services during consultations, client meetings, trial preparations, and other legal proceedings—both in person and over the phone.
• Deliver consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish, English, and Portuguese, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all communications.
• Perform sight translations of legal documents for clients and attorneys, conveying meaning with precision.
• Accompany clients and attorneys to USCIS interviews, offering interpretation support as needed.
• Translate legal and administrative documents between interpreting sessions with attention to legal terminology and cultural context.
• Offer administrative assistance to attorneys and paralegals, contributing to the overall efficiency of the office.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in handling all client and attorney information, in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
