About The Position

The Permitting and Administrative Affairs Manager leads and coordinates all regulatory and administrative procedures related to the mining activities of the site, ensuring legal compliance, smooth operational execution, and the maintenance of strong relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Administration, Management, or a related field in regulatory or mining affairs.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in permitting, regulatory affairs, or administrative management, preferably in the mining or industrial sector.
  • Proven experience in dealing with local authorities and regulatory institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the Moroccan legal and regulatory framework applicable to mining activities is a major asset.
  • Experience in project monitoring and reporting to senior management.
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes and legal obligations in the mining sector.
  • Ability to negotiate and maintain effective relationships with authorities and stakeholders.
  • Project management, organizational, and administrative follow-up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and proactive mindset.
  • Proficiency in office tools and administrative tracking systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Geographical mobility across the South-Eastern regions of Morocco is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all applications for permits, authorizations, and licenses required for the site’s operations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor all legal and administrative obligations related to mining operations.
  • Act as the main point of contact with public authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate relationships with local stakeholders, communities, and administrative entities, ensuring clear and proactive communication.
  • Develop and monitor action plans and reporting related to administrative affairs and legal compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, environmental, and technical) to anticipate permitting and authorization requirements.
  • Identify and propose improvements to administrative and regulatory processes to enhance site efficiency.
