The Permit Technician III position plays a pivotal role in the municipal building department operations and is responsible for reviewing, processing, and issuing more complex types of permits. This position also performs administrative, financial, and records management tasks along with coordinating final development approvals and the closeout of permits for new buildings. Key responsibilities include reviewing construction plans, liaising with various departments, and records management. This role demands a proficient understanding of building codes, zoning laws, city ordinances, related state laws, internal development processes, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Work Schedule: Work is performed at City offices from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Flexible work schedules may be available based on in- person permit counter coverage requirements.
