We are seeking a Permit & Interconnection Coordinator to be responsible for the direct application and tracking of permits and utility interconnections for solar projects. This role is crucial for ensuring projects adhere to all regulatory requirements and timelines through diligent management and organization of permitting processes. Salary The salary range for this role is $52,000.00 to $58,000.00 USD, salary commensurate with experience. An Annual Bonus representing 3% of your annual base salary/annual wages is paid based on meeting both organizational and individual targets. Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of permitting processes and utility requirements within the solar industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective dealings with governmental agencies and utility companies.
  • High level of proficiency in database management and information systems.
  • Independent worker with the ability to drive processes forward.
  • Associate’s degree in related discipline, required.
  • NOTE: Two years of directly related experience may substitute for 1 year of university degree.
  • Two years’ direct related experience, required
  • Valid State Driver’s License, required

Nice To Haves

  • Safety Certification, i.e., OSHA 10, etc., preferred.
  • Knowledge of solar systems, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directly apply for all necessary permits and manage interconnection requests with utilities for solar projects.
  • Track and monitor the status of all permit and interconnection applications, ensuring timely updates and progression.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed database of utilities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), including specific requirements, processing times, and contact information.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to gather all necessary documentation for permit and interconnection applications.
  • Regularly communicate with local, state, and federal agencies to expedite permit approvals and address any issues.
  • Analyze and report on trends in permit and interconnection processing times to aid in project planning and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies through detailed knowledge of current regulations and standards.
  • Prepare regular reports on permit and interconnection statuses for project stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing strategies to streamline the permitting and interconnection processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Vision Insurance: The premiums are a shared expense with 80% covered by Harvest Solar and 20% covered by the associate via a weekly payroll deduction. Premiums are based on level of coverage, i.e., Associate only, Associate & Spouse, Associate & Child(ren), Family).
  • Group Life Insurance: $50,000.00 of group life insurance, with and Accident Death clause. Premiums are covered by Harvest Solar
  • Group Short Term Disability: 60% of your earnings, with a $1,000.00 weekly maximum, are available for injury or illness after a seven-day waiting period. Premiums are covered by Harvest Solar.
  • Voluntary Supplemental Programs: Accident, Critical illness, and Hospital Indemnity are available at the associate’s expense. Plans are organized through Allstate and premiums are paid through payroll deduction.
  • The First of the Month After 90-Days of Employment: Harvest Solar 401k Plan: Associates are auto enrolled at a 3% deferral rate. The plan is administered by Vestwell. Auto enrolled contribution is invested in a “Retire-On-Time” plan.
  • Once enrolled, the associate may make changes that include: Increasing the Deferral Rate to the Applicable IRS Limits: A company match is available. When the associate defers 3%, Harvest Solar matches 3%. When the associate defers 4%, the Harvest Solar the first 3.5%. When the associate defers 5%, Harvest Solar matches the first 4%.
  • Changing the Account Type: Both a pre-tax and Roth account is available.
  • Changing the Investment Type: The plan offers standard plans to address risk or age of retirement, or the associate can customize their own investment.
