Canton High School is seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as a Full-Year Permanent Building Substitute for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. JOB SUMMARY To provide instructional and supervisory support to students. The Full-Year Permanent Building Substitute is a full-time, full-year position whose main purpose is to fill in for educational or instructional positions as needed by the building administration. This position is an integral part of the successful day-to-day operations of building and supporting the entire school community.

Requirements

• High School degree required, Bachelors preferred
• Teaching degree preferred
• Recent experience working with school-age children
• Alternatives to the above qualifications, as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Other requirements as deemed necessary by the Superintendent of Schools

Responsibilities

• Fill in as a classroom teacher, educational assistant, or support personnel as assigned by the building principal or designee
• Support the school community, staff vacancies, and student needs
• Be a positive and collaborative member of the school community
• Flexibility and patience are key to success in this role
