Perioperative Support Technician - Operating Room, Per Diem
About The Position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Peri-op Support Technician works collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflows in the operating room while adhering to AORN standards. The PST will be responsible for turnover of OR#s as well as weekly terminal cleaning. PST will know and understand equipment used during surgeries, and how to set up rooms. The PST will also understand Decontamination processes in Central Sterile, learn to clean and process endoscopy scopes, know instrumentation in order to be a runner for the surgical team, and help to pull cases for next day#s surgeries. The PST may also be asked to run specimens to the lab. This position will also cross train to PACU to assist as needed with patients or daily housekeeping needs.# COMPENSATION: Minimum pay: $18.25 Maximum pay: $26.96
