As a scrub nurse, you'll work closely with surgeons, ensuring they have the necessary instruments and supplies. As a circulating nurse, you'll oversee overall nursing care in the operating room, creating a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and staff. Your commitment to excellence and safety will be evident as you educate patients on recovery best practices and maintain a sterile environment through meticulous cleaning procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN)
- State-approved Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 3-5 years of experience as a nurse providing perioperative care
- Exceptional knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
- Exceptional knowledge of sterile techniques
- Proficiency in recordkeeping and patient management systems
- Advanced proficiency in developing and implementing perioperative nursing care plans
- Ability to collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare specialists
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in healthcare
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Certification as an Operating Room Nurse (CNOR)
Responsibilities
