About The Position
Norman Regional Surgical Services consists of 24 operating rooms, with state of the art technology. We offer services ranging from cardiac, urology, general, neuro, GYN, orthopedics, ENT and vascular access. Our scrub techs demonstrate teamwork, ensuring the sterile environment is maintained, and keeping a safe environment for our patients. We orient new scrub techs to all of our surgical areas by providing an extensive orientation with a dedicated preceptor in which scrub techs become proficient in all of our service lines. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical terminology course required.
- In lieu of coursework: Six (6) months experience as a Unit Secretary, Clerk, Medical Office Assistant, Nursing Assistant; or six (6) months of experience in a clerical or secretarial position which requires the use of medical terminology may be accepted.
- Job code 465: Entry level to 2 years full time experience.
- Job code 877: 2 to 5 year's full time experience required.
- Job code 787: Over 5 years' experience required. (Levels at Manager Discretion).
- Require ability to type and keyboard accurately.
- Requires legible handwriting.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Unit Secretary, Medical Office Assistant, or related course preferred.
- Hospital clerical experience preferred.
- Prefer computer experience in various applicable programs.
Responsibilities
- Provides clerical support.

- Facilitates effective, accurate communication between physicians, staff, patients/families, and other departments and facilities
- Performs additional support functions.
Benefits
- $13.21-$21.58/hr. based on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $1.50/hr.
- Night differential $1.75/hr.
- Weekend differential $1.75/hr.
