About The Position

The SCO PeriOp Manager III oversees all day-to-day responsibilities for their assigned clinical program or assigned facilities. This position manages and directs supply chain services for assigned facilities to include, replenishment, put-away, receiving, distribution, and special orders. This position is responsible for the successful implementation of system initiatives and continuous improvement programs throughout their assigned facilities or clinical program including the monitoring and utilization of key performance indicators associated with projects. This position plans, organizes, directs, and staffs to maintain and improve functions. The incumbent ensures optimal utilization of PeriOp programs and SCO policies and procedures to reduce costs to facilities and patients. Schedule: Full-time Hours: 7:15am - 3:45pm Will support two facilities: PCH Lehi Miller Campus and Riverton. Essentials: Manages the daily operations of PeriOp and in many cases independently for designated departments, clinical programs, and facilities. Proactively interacts with physicians, managers, suppliers, clinical program leadership, and SCO personnel. Is accountable for the timely and efficient management of all supplies and services in all assigned teams and departments. Works to directly support a site/s (potentially up to two care sites) with varying levels of complexity, or specialty designation facilities to provide PeriOp Supply Chain Support Services. The scope of the care site/s may include Trauma level 2 or 1 facilities and/or Children's specialty facilities, or complex centers of excellence i.e. Stroke Center. Oversees inventory management, contract compliance, product substitutes, standardization, and budget control. Ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and utilizes processes, reports, and other tools on a routine basis. Ensures that staff are trained and certified in applicable system Inventory Tools. Actively works with assigned departments or service lines to achieve an awareness of their needs. Works with assigned departments or clinical service lines to support supply logistics needs including implementation, recall and alert management, and regulatory requirements to achieve optimal outcomes and patient safety for assigned clinical program or facilities. Monitors and supports assigned facilities product needs in conjunction with clinicians and site leadership teams. Supports changes in the PeriOp service lines through VAT leadership, care site leadership, and changes in care site needs based upon service location needs. Directs and leads staff to ensure the team is meeting department goals. Utilizes Dashboards and Huddle Boards to ensure staff understand identified measures and activities pertaining to their daily activities. Conducts performance appraisals, coaches and counsels' team, develops appropriate goals with employees, and provides corrective action programs as needed. Works to identify opportunities to improve efficiency in logistics activities for inventory stakeholders. Understands how to measure and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the SCO workflow and processes by engaging in the Continuous Improvement Program. Ensures that systems, tools, and processes are organized and implemented safely and effectively. Supports system Safety Programs and works to ensure zero harm initiatives are used to reduce or eliminate caregiver injuries. Coordinates with care site clinical leadership to provide detailed reporting on spending helping to identify any service lines and/or specialty programs that might have an opportunity to improve expense control. Prepares and provides reports on spend analysis for applicable care sites to reflect the opportunities based upon conversion opportunities. Monitors facility Inventory Business Unit (IBU) Values to ensure optimal service levels are met. Ensures that assigned inventories are being optimized through the appropriate use of systems, tools, processes, and staff are trained to evaluate business needs. Represents the SCO to the assigned facilities or clinical program in collaborating with facility and system managers and leadership. Participates in and supports facility meetings, huddles, committees, or other initiatives that benefit from SCO presence or services. Accountable for the overall SCO or PeriOp Management compliance with Safety, Legal, TJC, Facility or SCO regulations, laws, or other requirements.

  • Experience with prioritizing multiple tasks, organizing teams with multiple levels of caregivers, and meeting deadlines.
  • Stong demonstrated history of inventory control and working in conjunction with auditors and/or finance.
  • Proven history of improving associate engagement.
