ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Establishes, implements and monitors the grant budgets including all IDPH budgeting, billing and financial reporting. 2. Works with administrative and clinical partners to maximize program revenue and to use program funds effectively. 3. Develops systems for the responsible use of all hospital resources and grant funding. 4. Acts as primary liaison, representative and advocate for the Maternal Child Block Perinatal Systems Grant for IDPH ensuring that the program is a strong contributor to the health system’s goals of safe, exceptional and caring provision of services. 5. Provides leadership in the development of future directions and activities of the perinatal programs. 6. Collaborates with System Director of Women & Children’s Programs & Services, key representatives both internal and external in the development of funding strategies, grant proposals and contracts to support perinatal service programs. 7. Implements and assures compliance with funding sources. 8. Identifies and develops organizational talent and embraces continuous learning of self and others. 9. Communicates regularly with partners and fosters a team environment. 10. Maintains and improves the department’s quality of care and service. 11. Assures high quality of partner performance by establishing standards, monitoring adherence and providing training, counseling, mentoring and coaching of partners if necessary. 12. Responsible for program evaluation including working with funders to establish program evaluation parameters, use of electronic records for efficient collection of program evaluation data, working with partners to ensure accurate and compliant data collection, auditing of data collection and submission of program data and reports to funders.
