Requirements

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make flexible decisions.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with medical, nursing, and other departments.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient, staff, and health system confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.
  • Proactive in ensuring adequate and functional equipment for safe patient care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in bedside patient care (long-term or acute health facility) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients, ensuring their comfort and security.
  • Apply basic principles of sterilization, maintain sterile supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain OR equipment, ensuring functionality.
  • Coordinate equipment requisitions, liaise with vendors, and manage repairs/replacements.
  • Collaborate closely with the surgical team, assisting with supply inventory, delivering specimens and blood products, and maintaining an organized OR suite and support areas.
  • Provide coverage for Anesthesia Technician duties, including cleaning anesthesia equipment.
