In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Quality Engineer to lead testing initiatives that ensure exceptional software quality. You will apply structured approaches, test practices, and technical solutions to deliver accelerated business outcomes through optimisation, automation, and analytics. Proficiency in Cucumber, Java, JIRA, and Confluence will be essential for designing and executing complex test scenarios. You will implement model-based test design, accelerate automation using the IGNITE platform, and leverage cognitive tools to transition from detection-based testing to prevention-based quality engineering. This role includes preparing detailed quality plans, guiding teams on quality standards, and driving continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is embedded into every stage of delivery. We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester to assess system performance and optimize large-scale government applications.

Requirements

3+ years performance testing experience, JMeter and Gatling proficiency, Grafana monitoring, AppDynamics expertise.
Strong proficiency in Python, Java and Bash scripting test automation capabilities
Agile/Scrum methodology experience
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong expertise in Cucumber, Java, and performance testing tools.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence for test management.
Ability to implement automation frameworks using IGNITE.
Understanding of cognitive tools for quality engineering transformation.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
