About The Position

In medical practice since 1919, Wolfe Eye Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic providing medical and surgical vision care services throughout Iowa. At Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Ophthalmic Tester based out of our Ames clinic. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent patient service. Complete auxiliary testing. Perform basic patient workups. Perform visual field testing. Measure eye pressure. Take diagnostic images such as OCT’s. Disinfect and maintain clinical equipment. Prepare, enter and maintain patient electronic health records. Provide patient education according to physician instructions. Other clinical duties as assigned. Skills and Knowledge: Interested applicants must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, have excellent patient service skills, remain organized, learn and adapt quickly, and maintain excellent communication skills. Some day-time travel is required. When traveling outside your base clinic mileage and time on the road will be reimbursed. Preferred Qualifications, but not required. (Willing to train the right candidate): IOL master experience OCT experience Visual Field experience Electronic Medical Records experience.
