About The Position

Making the journey the most enjoyable Performance Improvement & Lean Transformation Director is responsible for implementing, deploying and monitoring Lean-Sigma programs across Safran Cabin. This role also support the local Safran Cabin sites in their Continuous Improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for energizing the local sites, using Lean-Sigma and One Safran methodology and tools, to positively impact Customer Satisfaction, Delivery & Quality Performance, and financial performance. Working closely with leadership at all levels to ensure CI efforts are driven throughout the organization. The Lean Sigma role includes the following responsibilities: 1)Plan, design, direct and cascade the Safran Lean Sigma policies and processes across Safran Cabin. 2)Develop a strong Lean-Sigma culture across Safran Cabin, through a network of committed Sponsors and certified Belts, and through successful Lean-Sigma projects. 3)Propose Lean-Sigma annual objectives supporting the Safran Cabin Hoskin Kanri, and monitor the KPI progresses against the approved goals 4)Define, scope and structure the Lean-Sigma transverse projects to be executed at Cabin level 5)Support the Division and Site leadership teams to ensure Lean-Sigma projects are aligned with their strategic objectives and business requirements. 6)Develop and guide the Safran Cabin Lean-Sigma training programs with Safran University and Safran Cabin HR, for all targeted audiences: Sponsors, Master Black Belt (MBB), Black Belt (BB), Green Belt (GB), White Belt (WB) 7)Develop Safran Cabin internal trainers as required, as per the Safran policies and processes. 8)Develop and monitor plans to reach and maintain the Safran requirements such as % of certified Belts. 9)Ensure that Lean-Sigma projects executed across Safran Cabin deliver the targeted results, and contribute to Customers satisfaction and Safran financial performance. 10)Build the network of Safran Cabin Master Black Belts and Black Belts, leverage on synergies and best practices, and develop plans to address identified common weaknesses. 11)Ensure that completed Lean-Sigma projects benefit the whole organization: access and cross-fertilization. 12)Act as the Safran Cabin Lean-Sigma Referent for Safran, and contribute to the Safran Lean-Sigma initiatives: policies, processes, tools, training programs. This Regional Performance Improvement role include the following responsibilities: 1)Develop and execute performance improvement projects for the region by working closely with site CI teams. Ensure the site implements and maintains Continuous Improvement initiatives. 2)Serves as a key enabler of Performance Improvement activities across the region by integrating people, process, and technology following departmental project management standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the following areas: Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain; Customer Services; Production; Quality; Engineering; Information Technology; Logistics or Planning.
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Solid understanding of Engineering, Project Management, Lean Principles, Six Sigma, and Financial acumen
  • Knowledge of the group, its management system, processes and organizations
  • Knowledge of an industrial entity processes and operations
  • Knowledge of the leverage of change management in complex organizations
  • Knowledge of the basics in terms of techno-economic management and performance management
  • Proficiency in the use of common software packages including MS Office suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint
  • Master Black Belt certified (Safran)
  • Ability to manage cross functionally with direct and indirect influence
  • Ability to Coach and facilitate individually and at the large-scale level
  • Capacity to drive and manage networks
  • Capacity to operate in a pluri-disciplinary, inter-cultural and international environment
  • Long term vision and capacity to promote breakthrough actions

  • Advanced program management skills including the ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage a wide variety of projects on time and within budget
  • Able to manage, motivate and influence teams with and without a direct line of authority
  • Receptive of feedback and quick to apply changes
  • Does require fluent communication in English language
  • Employment Status may be in the US or Mexico.
  • Traveling may be required.

  • The expected salary range for this position is between $164,710 - $183,010 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
