About The Position

As the Performance Engineer Advisor, you will ensure that systems, applications, and services meet the required performance standards and operate efficiently under various conditions. This role focuses on optimizing performance, reliability, scalability, and responsiveness to deliver our products at the most efficient level. Reporting to the Director of Energy Delivery, your primary duties encompass:

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent, or High School Diploma (required) plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience supervising technical, maintenance and/or operations personnel
  • Must have demonstrated technical ability in the operation and maintenance of systems
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of power generation, steam and chilled water equipment and technology
  • Thorough knowledge of all plant systems and understanding of process diagrams, simple electrical diagrams and operating instructions
  • Extensive knowledge in PI systems and how to process/analyze the data
  • Extensive knowledge of steam production and chilled water facilities
  • Ability to use analytical judgment to plan and perform diversified work, making decisions within prescribed limitations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, to maintain and build complex excel models.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and take direction from others.
  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Responsibilities

  • Performance Testing and Analysis: Designing and conducting tests to identify performance bottlenecks within a central utility plant
  • System Optimization: Analyzing resource usage and make recommendations to improve system performance
  • Scalability Planning: Ensuring systems can handle increasing loads and designing solutions that scale effectively
  • Monitoring and Metrics: Implementing performance monitoring tools and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track system availability and performance
  • Capacity Planning: Assessing infrastructure needs and ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet current and future demands
  • Collaboration: Working closely with maintenance, operations, and support teams to integrate performance metrics, plans and equipment upgrades
  • Automation: Building and maintaining procedures to improve the automation of data gathering, analyzing and reporting
  • Present findings, reporting's and analysis, to plant staff, management and directors
