Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical effort.

Requirements

  • Education: Have a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Have four years of experience in performing auditing work.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting and auditing.
  • Knowledge of municipal accounting.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively.
  • Ability to assign and review the work of auditors.
  • Ability to write and compile comprehensive audit reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with work associates and agency representatives.
