The Radiation Oncology Department at Mountainside Medical Center provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, delivering the full continuum of services from consultation and treatment planning to therapy and follow-up. The program is supported by a collaborative team of radiation oncologists, medical physicists, certified therapists, oncology nurses, and dedicated support staff. The Radiation Oncologist plays a key leadership role and participates in the governance of the multidisciplinary cancer program. Radiation Oncology is part of a cancer program accredited by the Commission on Cancer and affiliated with the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, providing access to tumor boards, shared clinical protocols, and academic-level expertise. Advanced treatment capabilities include external beam radiation therapy, 3D conformal radiation therapy, MammoSite® breast brachytherapy, and cutting-edge radioligand therapies such as Pluvicto and Lutathera bringing highly specialized, precision-based cancer care to the local community.
