About The Position

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a skilled and patient‑focused Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology team at our location in Basking Ridge, NJ. In this role, you will deliver high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a collaborative, outpatient cancer care setting—supporting MSK’s mission to end cancer for life through exceptional patient care, research, and education. Basking Ridge provides advanced cancer diagnostics and treatment closer to home for patients throughout Westchester County and the surrounding region. As part of this team, you will work alongside expert radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff in a highly specialized, fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved CAAHEP‑accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • ARDMS certification required in Abdomen, Breast, and RVT.
  • Prostate imaging experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant ultrasound technologist experience, ideally in a complex or specialty practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while exercising sound clinical judgment.

  • Prostate imaging experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures with a high degree of technical skill and clinical judgment.
  • Operate independently under the administrative direction of the Radiology Manager and the clinical guidance of the Radiologist.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care while maintaining productivity and image quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Adapt in real time to changing clinical needs and workflow demands in a dynamic outpatient setting.
  • Maintain compliance with MSK policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in ultrasound imaging.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to peers and may provide guidance to less experienced staff as needed.
