Requirements
- ACPE - accredited PharmD degree (highly preferred) or BS of Pharmacy with recent pharmacist work experience
- Active Utah state pharmacist license in good standing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Nice To Haves
- Some Hospital Pharmacy work experience
- Post-graduate Hospital pharmacy residency
Responsibilities
- Processes physician drug orders including, but not limited to:
- order entry into dispensing computer system
- appropriate product selection
- labeling and repackaging
- Consults with various health care professionals and provides information and guidance concerning drugs and their appropriate use
- Complies with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
- Assumes duties of Director of Pharmacy in his/her absence to manage daily departmental activities
- Responds to cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures, when requested
- Participates in and/or provides support to hospital committees as agreed upon by committee members and the Director of Pharmacy to help establish drug-related policies, criteria, or to monitor issues related to drugs i.e. Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee
- Assist in the preparation of periodic reports on the progress of the department for submission to the administration of the hospital
- Assists the department and hospital in maintaining compliance with accreditation standards
