About The Position

VytlOne (Formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services) is seeking a highly competent, compassionate, Per Diem Staff Pharmacist for our pharmacy located in the VNACJ Community Healhtcare Center in Asbury Park, NJ. VytlOne offers an integrated approach to patient care, as the pharmacy team collaborates closely with the doctors and nurses in the healthcare center. The pharmacy team will be an integral part of the care team for each patient. So, you would have a direct hand in improving outcomes. This is a chance to make a difference in helping the under-served patient population in this community. The targeted pay rate is $65-68/ hr depending on experience. Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy. PharmD is preferred.
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in New Jersey
  • Experience: Three years pharmacy experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices in field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals, their indications, interactions, and potential side effects.
  • Skill in the development of drug therapies.
  • Knowledge of relevant accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Ability to establish goals, structures, and processes necessary to implement a mission and strategic vision.
  • Leadership, coaching, and teambuilding skills, to strengthen and cultivate relationships.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ability to network and interact, as well as support effective partnerships with key groups and individuals.
  • Ability to prioritize ongoing and new projects, as well as conduct research and gather information.
  • Consultation and change management skills.
  • Verbal/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year managerial experience preferred.
  • HIV experience and AAHIVP certification preferred
  • 340B experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and fill drug orders.
  • Provide patient information and counseling.
  • Contact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.
  • Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).
  • Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
  • Maintain patients’ medication records.
  • Maintain inventory and records of controlled drugs and other drugs as required by law.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine performance of their duties.
  • Provide drug information to professional staff and patients as necessary.
  • Participate in inventory control programs such as ordering, inventorying and monitoring correct pricing and quantities.
  • Attend and participate in programs, committees, meetings, and functions as required by the facility or pharmacy.
  • Participate in educational programs for professional staff as necessary.
  • Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, pharmacy staff meetings and in-service educational programs.
  • Participate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.
  • Exemplify excellence in customer communications and service.
  • Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.
  • Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.
  • Maintains regular attendance in accordance with established policies.
  • Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
  • Comply with VytlOne’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and VytlOne’s Compliance Program.
  • Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
  • Complete required training and ensure the departmental staff training is completed as required.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Ensure staff is informed of product upgrades or enhancements in a timely manner.
  • Develop and mentor departmental staff by providing career coaching; motivate departmental staff, individually and as a group; understand and support diversity; and establish an effective team.
  • Promote teamwork; discipline staff when warranted.
  • Complete other job duties as assigned.
