About The Position

We are DiRx, an emerging digital pharmacy seeking to make generic medications more affordable without insurance. Staff Pharmacists are responsible for overseeing the dispensing operations and the supervision of technicians to help our customers get the medications they need to be delivered right to their door. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizing and managerial skills, an exceptional eye for detail, the ability to coach and mentor our pharmacy technicians and monitor their performance, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and be at ease with change. Our Pharmacists are an integral part of our ability to deliver solutions to our customers to make maintaining their health easier by making sure the generic drugs they need are affordable and easy to obtain. Pharmacists with experience in mail-order fulfillment or retail are preferred. This position is on-site in the greater Ft Lauderdale, Florida area. Shift hours can vary between 6 am - 8 pm Monday to Saturday.

Requirements

  • Pharmacist license in the State of FL, active and in good standing
  • Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Ability to perform pharmacist functions while delegating to and mentoring technicians, and adjusting workflow priorities according to business needs
  • Ability to learn new computer systems and adapt to new processes
  • Candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit who can thrive in start-up environments will be preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Possess problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Active/Good Standing Pharmacist license in the following additional states: Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia
  • Pharmacists with experience in mail-order fulfillment or retail are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular pharmacy-related functions such as interpreting prescriptions from prescribers, contacting prescribers or patients to verify information on prescription orders, and expediting the processing of orders
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure proper order entry, workflow, and training
  • Ensure that the pharmacy is compliant with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy
