This position promotes and maintains health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician. The role involves assessing client health through interviews, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. The APN will provide ongoing care to residential clients, initiate and monitor Suboxone and Vivitrol treatments, and adjust dosages as needed. They will collaborate with physicians on patient care issues, review medication orders, and facilitate client referrals. Responsibilities also include determining abnormal conditions by ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, documenting patient care in electronic health records, instructing and counseling patients on therapeutic regimens, family planning, and health maintenance, and assisting in the development of patient treatment plans. The APN is also responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and protecting clients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
