Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider - Inpatient Gastroenterology/Nutrition
About The Position

We're excited to welcome a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to our Inpatient Gastroenterology/Nutrition Service. Role Overview: This role is to help cover our inpatient and outpatient nutrition service, autonomously managing patients on Total Parenteral Nutrition. The ideal Candidate will have previous inpatient GI and/or TPN experience.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred
- BLS certification
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and FNP licenses/registrations
- Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- 3+ years of related clinical experience
- Related National NP certification
- BLS certification
- Gastroenterology experience is essential; desired candidate will have experience managing TPN
- Skilled at anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Resourceful, with a strong ability to secure and utilize resources efficiently
- Clear and effective communicator across all levels
- Personable and able to build rapport with diverse groups
- Flexible and adaptable, adjusting approach and demeanor to meet evolving demands in real time
