Pepsi Beverage Equipment Specialist - Missoula, MT Job Description Primary Location: Missoula, Montana Job Summary The Beverage Equipment Specialist is responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing beverage coolers, vending machines, fountains, and related equipment at customer locations. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing sanitation and preventive maintenance, and providing reliable on-call service while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Refrigeration Certification required
  • Must meet company driving qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, transport, install, and remove beverage equipment including vending machines, coolers, and fountains at customer sites
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using diagnostic tools such as wattmeters, ammeters, voltmeters, and refrigeration equipment
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment; replace worn or defective components including compressors, motors, pumps, switches, wiring, belts, bearings, gears, and panels
  • Perform sanitation, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance services on equipment
  • Calibrate and adjust control devices such as thermostats, timers, and contact points
  • Inspect equipment during operation to identify vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose components
  • Respond to customer service calls, including scheduled on-call duties during non-business hours
  • Complete service call documentation, vehicle logs, and required reports accurately and on time
  • Maintain assigned service vehicle, including cleanliness, pre-trip inspections, and routine maintenance (oil, water, air)
  • Keep shop and work areas clean and organized
  • Follow all safety procedures; wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and company-provided uniform
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively to customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
