About The Position

The People Services Specialist is responsible for providing operational support across People Services, with a primary focus on position management and Workday transaction processing. This role supports the full employee lifecycle by ensuring accurate data, documentation, and system updates related to employee changes, organizational structure, and compensation. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, comfortable working in Workday, and able to manage multiple transactions in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. This is a non‑exempt position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Entry-level experience in Human Resources, customer service, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products – MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
  • Experience processing HR transactions in Workday, including position management, employee data changes, and compensation updates

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner for position management and Workday transactions, ensuring accurate processing and documentation
  • Process and track employee life cycle changes in Workday including position management, compensation changes, transfers, promotions, and employee data updates
  • Support organizational and job-related changes in Workday, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with approved requests
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure effective data and document management within Workday
  • Act as SME for Workday operational functionality and perform user testing for system changes
  • Manage employment procedures for onboarding process including: background checks, drug screenings, I-9 verifications, pre-employment paperwork, and new hire orientation
  • Coordinate offboarding process for separating employees
  • Ensure compliance documentation is updated with current language and requirements
  • Maintain employee personnel files in Box and respond to documentation requests as needed
  • Assist with HR project planning, coordination, and implementation as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of HR information at all times
  • Other duties may be assigned
